A man is dead after being shot in his head in Kingstown on Monday.
The circumstances surrounding his shooting are unclear.
The man was taken to hospital. He was pronounced Dead on Arrival (DOA).*
Journalist Kenville Horne who is in the process of assessing the scene told One News SVG the deceased was an employee at a government department, and he has been identified by his alias “Smadd Dan”.
He said the deceased is from Fairban Pasture and, “was also self-employed as a vendor and was an aspiring musician”.
The incident has brought the homicide count for 2024 to 51, just four (4) fewer than the record 55 recorded in 2023.
