Student in intensive care unit after being stabbed in neck

A student of the Central Leeward Secondary School is fighting for her life at the Intensive Care Unit of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital after being stabbed in her neck.

One News SVG understands that the student was stabbed by another female student who attends another secondary school.

The incident took place this morning at the gate of the Central Leeward Secondary School at Peter’s Hope.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.

The impacted student is unresponsive as her windpipe was punctured, One News SVG understands.

The perpetrator is in police custody.
