Police say the individual who died after a shooting incident in Great House Lowmans Hill on June 23 is a St. Lucian national.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Atland Browne, who is currently in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), spoke on the incident today (June 24), and said investigations are ongoing.
Police said they received information about the shooting shortly after 6 p.m. on June 23 and immediately deployed officers to the area.
According to ASP Browne, two men sustained gunshot injuries and remain hospitalised, while a third man suffered a gunshot wound to the face and later died.
The deceased has so far been identified only by the alias “Luche”. ASP Browne said investigators understand that the man was a national of St Lucia but have not yet confirmed his full identity.

“We will be working closely with our counterparts in St Lucia and more than likely will ascertain his correct name, age, date of birth and address,” Browne said.
SVGTV News reported that residents who spoke on condition of anonymity said the shooting occurred in an abandoned house in the community. Several residents said they heard gunshots shortly after 4 p.m.
Some residents told the news outlet they had previously seen the victim and the other individuals in the area but knew little about them.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting, nor have they announced any arrests in connection with the incident.
ASP Browne said the CID has already contacted authorities in St Lucia as part of the investigation.
He also noted that the killing is the country’s 19th homicide of 2026. According to police figures, this is two more than the number recorded during the corresponding period last year.
Browne said investigators are continuing to gather evidence, including forensic examinations, and expressed optimism that further progress will be made in the case.
The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has urged anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the CID.
Investigations remain ongoing.
