Women across St. Vincent and the Grenadines are being invited to a day of worship, fellowship and spiritual encouragement at the Women of Honour – Keepers of the Flame conference on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The all-day conference, hosted by Joyful Praise Tabernacle of Richland Park in collaboration with Trinity Methodist Church of Brooklyn, New York, will be held at the Hopewell Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Guest speakers for the event are Pastor/Prophetess Ersherla Pitt of Alabama and Minister Caren Charles-De Freitas of Brooklyn, New York. Lunch and snacks will be served, and a clothing distribution by the Trinity Mission Department will also be available for attendees.
According to information provided by Minister Caren Charles-De Freitas, the conference was born out of a recognised need for greater spiritual upliftment and empowerment among women in the church.
“The Women’s Conference came about because of the need for spiritual upliftment and empowerment needed in the churches among the women,” Charles-De Freitas said.
“It seeks to cause a shift in the thinking and mindset we sometimes have about our failures and the doubts and shame we carry from our past,” she said.
Charles-De Freitas said the conference is open to all women who desire to grow in their spiritual walk with God.
“It’s for all women who desire to grow in their spiritual walk with God,” she said.
She added that organisers hope to make the conference an annual event.
Explaining the significance of the theme, Women of Honour – Keepers of the Flame, Charles-De Freitas said it “speaks to that woman who got delivered by Grace, and hopes to keep the legacy of the Christian walk going.”
Organisers are encouraging women from across St. Vincent and the Grenadines to attend the conference as they seek to foster spiritual growth, fellowship and renewed purpose.
