A man is receiving medical treatment after being shot in the Fountain area of St Vincent on Tuesday.
The injured man has been identified as Asbert Williams. He was reportedly shot in the stomach during an incident at a property along the main road in Fountain on July 28.
Williams was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition has not been officially disclosed.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Unconfirmed reports suggest the incident may have stemmed from an altercation involving the picking of coconuts. However, One News SVG has not independently verified that claim, and it should not be treated as established fact.
The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is investigating the incident.
One News SVG will continue to monitor the investigation and provide updates as further information becomes available from official and other authoritative sources.
