SVG Beaches Make Top 30 in Americas and Caribbean Ranking

The beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ beaches has earned international recognition, with the destination securing a place among the top 30 beach travel destinations in the Americas and Caribbean for 2026.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) announced that the country ranked 22nd on Travel And Tour World’s (TTW) Top 30 Beach Travel Destinations in the Americas and Caribbean for 2026.

The ranking places SVG ahead of several well-known regional and international tourism destinations, including Barbados, Curaçao, Dominica, Honduras, Saint Barthélemy, Cuba and Peru.

The global list, published by TTW on August 1, 2026, was compiled using an evaluation framework that considered factors such as coastal beauty, marine ecosystems, accessibility, sustainability, tourism infrastructure and overall visitor experience.

In its assessment, TTW highlighted SVG’s multi-island appeal, describing the destination as offering “untouched islands, secluded beaches, and serene Caribbean sailing escapes.”

Among the beaches and coastal attractions featured were Princess Margaret Beach in Bequia, known for its white sands; Tobago Cays, recognised for its crystal-clear waters and marine environment; Salt Whistle Bay in Mayreau; Macaroni Beach in Mustique; and Young Island Beach.

Other beaches highlighted included Friendship Bay Beach, Lower Bay Beach, Cane Garden Beach, Indian Bay Beach and Chatham Bay Beach, showcasing the variety of coastal experiences available across the destination.

Chief Executive Officer of the SVG Tourism Authority Shafia London said the recognition reflects the country’s appeal among travellers seeking authentic Caribbean experiences.

“This global recognition confirms what travelers and sailors have long known: St. Vincent and the Grenadines offers a pure, authentic, and unmatched coastal experience,” London said.

She added that SVG’s placement among the top beach destinations in the Americas and Caribbean, ahead of several larger tourism markets, demonstrates the country’s commitment to protecting its marine environments while providing high-quality experiences for visitors.

The SVGTA said the recognition comes as the country continues efforts to strengthen its position as a destination for luxury tourism, eco-tourism and maritime experiences.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is made up of 32 islands and cays, offering a range of beaches, sailing routes and marine attractions for visitors.
