Invest SVG Board Breaks Silence Following Anna Young’s Resignation

The Board of Directors of Invest SVG has issued its first statement following the resignation of Executive Director Anna Young, saying its immediate focus is to ensure stability within the organisation while addressing any outstanding matters through the appropriate channels.

In a statement, Invest SVG said its Board confirmed that it had received Young’s resignation, which took effect immediately, and thanked her for her service and contributions during her tenure. It also extended best wishes for her future endeavours.

The statement comes amid widespread public discussion surrounding the agency’s management and operations.

Without referring to any specific allegations or claims, Invest SVG said its Board acknowledged the public commentary and stressed that issues relating to the organisation should be dealt with responsibly.

“The Board considers it important that such matters be handled responsibly, with due regard for the relevant facts and appropriate processes,” the statement said.

It added that where further consideration is required, the matters will be addressed through the appropriate institutional channels while respecting the interests of all parties concerned.

According to the statement, the Board’s immediate priority is maintaining continuity of leadership and ensuring Invest SVG remains focused on its national mandate.

The Board said the agency continues to operate normally as it pursues its responsibility of attracting and facilitating investment, developing new opportunities, and strengthening relationships with investors and partners at the local, regional and international levels, Invest SVG said. 

It also reaffirmed its commitment to the effective governance and management of Invest SVG, adding that further information on the organisation’s leadership arrangements will be communicated in due course.

Earlier on Wednesday, Invest SVG announced that Director of Export Marketing and Promotions, Mrs Nadine Agard-Juillerat, had been designated Acting Executive Director to oversee the agency’s day-to-day operations during the transition.
