BREAKING: Body of Missing Boy Found Along North Windward Coast

Police have confirmed that the body of a 10-year-old boy who went missing at sea on Saturday, May 30, was discovered on Monday morning (June 1) along the coastline in the Gorse area of North Windward.

The deceased has been identified as Caldon Robeiro of Park Hill. His body was reportedly found by a civilian among accumulations of sargassum along the shoreline.

Caldon had been the subject of an extensive search operation led by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard after he was reported missing at approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 30.

According to reports, the child had gone to the beach with a group of friends, a common recreational activity in the community. 

Difficulties were reportedly encountered while the group was in the water. Although the other children were able to return safely to shore, Caldon did not.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the relevant authorities.

News of the discovery has brought a tragic end to the search effort and has prompted an outpouring of grief within the Park Hill community and across the country. Many residents have also expressed appreciation to the Coast Guard, emergency personnel and volunteers who participated in the search.

The death of a child is a profound loss, and condolences have been extended to Caldon’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
