Golden Vale Death Under Police Investigation

Police are continuing investigations into the death of a 51-year-old Arnos Vale man whose body was discovered in Golden Vale on Tuesday, July 14.

According to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), Nicholas Oliver, a watchman of Arnos Vale, was found in the vicinity of the Anglican Church at Golden Vale with injuries appearing to be consistent with gunshot wounds.

The RSVGPF said in a statement, “Mr. Oliver was found with injuries appearing to be consistent with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.”

Police said they received a report of the discovery at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A post-mortem examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

Oliver’s death marks St Vincent and the Grenadines’ 24th homicide of 2026.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the Major Crimes Unit/Criminal Investigations Department at 1-784-456-1810, Police Control at 1-784-457-1211, or the nearest police station.

The RSVGPF assured the public that “all information received will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

Police also extended condolences to Mr. Oliver’s family and friends as investigations continue.
