Students at Georgetown Secondary School were engaged in a drug awareness session on May 12, 2026, led by officers of the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF).

Sergeant Huggins, alongside Police Constables 967 May and 580 Palmer, outlined the physical, legal and social consequences of substance abuse. Students were also encouraged to make informed choices, resist peer pressure and recognise their self-worth.

Officers used samples of illegal substances during the session to help students identify drugs and understand the associated risks.

The initiative forms part of the RSVGPF’s ongoing school outreach programme, which combines enforcement with education to strengthen youth resilience and promote safer communities across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

“Our children’s futures are worth fighting for, and we are here to provide both the shield to protect them and the guidance to help them succeed,” the RSVGPF said.
