Customers of St Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) can now pay their electricity bills by debit or credit card at the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Paul’s Avenue, Kingstown.
The new card payment service is available at all cashiers at the Corporate Headquarters.
VINLEC Manager Indira Layne said the new option is intended to give customers greater convenience when making payments.
“We know that convenience matters to our customers, particularly when they are managing their expenses,” Layne said.
“By introducing card payments, we hope to make their visits to the cashier quicker and provide another simple way for them to pay and keep track of their transactions,” she added.
The introduction of the Point-of-Sale (POS) service forms part of VINLEC’s efforts to modernise its operations and improve the customer experience.
The company said it continues to explore how technology can make its processes more efficient and improve service delivery.
The card payment facility adds to VINLEC’s existing payment options, which include self-service kiosks at its Corporate Headquarters in Kingstown, Joshua Centre in Arnos Vale, Greaves Marketplace in Pembroke and the Bequia Power Station.
Customers can also make payments in person or online through participating banks, credit unions and post offices.
VINLEC is encouraging customers to use whichever payment method is most convenient and suitable for their individual needs.
