Flow St. Vincent and the Grenadines has announced that its long-standing Vincysurf email service will be permanently discontinued on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, bringing an end to a platform that has served customers for many years.
The company said the retirement will take place in phases to allow customers sufficient time to move to alternative email services and avoid disruption.
Under the transition schedule, customers will no longer be able to send emails from their Vincysurf accounts from Monday, August 31. From Tuesday, September 15, the accounts will also stop receiving incoming emails.
The service will be fully decommissioned on September 30. After that date, customers will lose access to their Vincysurf email accounts, including any messages or files that remain stored on the platform.
Marketing and Corporate Communications Executive at Flow SVG, Cenus Hinds, said the phased approach is intended to give customers adequate time to make the switch.
“We know that for many customers, a Vincysurf email address has been part of their daily lives for many years. As technology has advanced, however, the platform behind the service has reached a point where it can no longer support the security, reliability, and capabilities expected of modern email solutions,” Hinds said.
He encouraged customers to begin the transition as soon as possible by creating a new email account with another provider, backing up important emails and files, and updating their contact details with family, friends, businesses and online services.
“By starting the transition now, customers will have plenty of time to move any important emails, contacts, and online accounts before the service is permanently discontinued,” he added.
According to Hinds, the decision reflects the changing digital landscape, with most customers now relying on cloud-based email platforms such as Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo Mail, which offer enhanced security, greater storage capacity and access across multiple devices.
He said discontinuing the legacy service will allow Flow to concentrate its resources on improving its core connectivity services and developing digital solutions that better meet customers’ evolving needs.
Flow said it will keep customers informed throughout the transition using direct emails, SMS notifications, its website, retail stores and other customer communication channels.
Business customers who currently use a Vincysurf email address are being encouraged to contact their Liberty Business Account Manager to discuss alternative business email options.
