Entrepreneurs, small business owners, and aspiring business operators are being invited to a free Business Support Clinic to be held in Cumberland, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening enterprise development and expanding access to practical business guidance.

The clinic is being organised by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED) under its “Unlocking Opportunities Through Climate Change Initiatives” (UOCCI) Project.

The fourth in a series of Business Clinics under the programme will take place on Thursday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wafulasun Sports Bar in Cumberland.

The session will provide participants with the opportunity to receive one-on-one support from Business Development Officers (BDOs), who will offer practical guidance on key areas affecting small business operations.

CED said the Business Clinics are designed to provide hands-on support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those in rural and underserved communities.

Areas of focus include business planning, record keeping, financial management, marketing, pricing, and overall business development.

The Cumberland clinic forms part of a wider national rollout of Business Clinics, with previous sessions already held in Barrouallie, Mesopotamia, and Georgetown.

The UOCCI Project is being implemented by CED with funding from the Organisation of American States (OAS), through its Development Cooperation Fund (DCF), under the 2024–2027 programming cycle.

The project is aimed at strengthening climate resilience while expanding economic opportunities for women and vulnerable groups, particularly within the MSME sector in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

CED is encouraging interested persons in Cumberland and surrounding communities to attend and take advantage of the opportunity for direct business support.
