North Eleven, a creative organisation based in Trinidad and Tobago, has announced that it is teaming up with the Hairouna Film Festival to launch a free animation workshop.
The Caribbean Animation for Eco-care and Peace (CAEP) workshop is designed to nurture new animators in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The initiative aims to build skills in story development, as well as digital and traditional animation techniques, culminating in the creation of short animations exploring themes of environmental care and peace. These works will have the opportunity to be showcased at the Hairouna Film Festival and other venues.
The animation workshop will run for six weeks, with sessions scheduled between July 2 and August 15, 2025 — primarily on weekday evenings and weekends. The programme will continue until September 15, 2025, to allow time for refinement of animations and submissions to film festivals.

The workshop will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining virtual and in-person sessions. Participants will need reliable access to a fully functional computer equipped with a webcam, speakers, microphone, and a steady internet connection.
Eligibility requirements include being 18 years or older, based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, computer literate, comfortable using Google Workspace tools, and able to follow English-language instruction. Applicants must commit to the full six-week workshop, including all virtual sessions and a one-week in-person component, dedicating approximately two hours per online class and five hours of out-of-class work per session.
The application deadline is Saturday, June 28, 2025. Interested individuals can learn more and apply at http://www.northelevenlife.com.
