The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is urging residents and business owners to remain vigilant following a series of recent robberies and burglaries, particularly within the South Central Division.
The advisory, issued on Wednesday, comes as police continue investigations into the incidents and work to identify and arrest those responsible.
The South Central Division covers communities stretching from Arnos Vale to Greiggs and Lauders.
Police are encouraging the public to take simple but effective steps to reduce opportunities for crime. These include ensuring that homes, businesses and vehicles are properly secured, avoiding leaving valuables in plain sight, and paying close attention to any suspicious activity in their communities.
The RSVGPF stressed that public awareness and cooperation are essential in supporting crime prevention efforts.
“Community safety works best when police action is supported by public vigilance,” the police said in a press release.
Residents are also being encouraged to report anything they believe is suspicious, noting that timely information from the public can assist ongoing investigations and help prevent further offences.
The police reiterated their commitment to investigating the recent incidents and urged citizens to remain alert, secure their surroundings and continue working alongside law enforcement to help keep communities safe.
