SVG teen queen Schulyer Francois to represent SVG in regional pageant in St. Kitts

St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented by former Miss SVG Teen Schulyer Francois at the 44th edition of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant, set for St. Kitts and Nevis later this year.
Francois, 17, and a student of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), was named on Friday as one of ten finalists who will compete for the regional title on Wednesday, December 30, 2026.
She is no stranger to the stage. In August 2024, at just 15 years old, the Sion Hill resident and then student of the St. Vincent Girls’ High School was crowned Miss SVG Teen at the La Vue Boutique Hotel, beating eight other contestants. She took the judged categories of Best Talent and Best Prom Wear that night and also won the People’s Choice Award.
Now she carries the blue, gold and green into one of the region’s longest-running youth pageants.
According to the Organising Committee, interest in this year’s competition was very strong. Registrations came in from more than thirteen Caribbean countries and territories, and after a review process, contestants from ten were selected.
Joining Francois are K’Dyah James of the British Virgin Islands, Amaya Marks of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Kimora Edwards of Grenada, Denayja Cognette of Anguilla, Blossom Joseph of St. Lucia, La’Shonté Joseph of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Syesha Fraser of Guyana, Tatiyana Archer of host country St. Kitts and Nevis, and Sati Ramcharan of Trinidad and Tobago.
This year’s theme is “Radiant Treasures of the Caribbean”. Each finalist will be expected to present a national treasure from her homeland, taking the audience through the history, culture, heritage and natural beauty of the region.
“We are excited about the exceptional talent and regional representation among this year’s finalists. Under the theme ‘Radiant Treasures of the Caribbean,’ the pageant will celebrate our rich cultural heritage while empowering young women to build confidence, develop leadership skills and become ambassadors for their homelands,” the committee said in a statement.
The pageant has been running for more than four decades. Organisers say it gives young women a platform to share their talents, represent their countries and build confidence and leadership skills. With its focus on talent, education and cultural expression, it also aims to promote Caribbean integration, cultural exchange, tourism and youth empowerment.
The Haynes Smith Youth Club and its Organising Committee have congratulated all the finalists. They say they look forward to welcoming delegates, supporters and visitors from across the Caribbean in December.
